Characteristics
The RAY luminaire housing is manufactured from high-quality die-cast aluminium and finished with a PVDF coating, ensuring excellent corrosion resistance (C3-H according to ISO 9227), UV resistance, and durability under harsh environmental conditions, including humidity, salt mist, and temperature fluctuations. The PVDF coating protects the enclosure against material ageing and loss of aesthetic appearance, which is particularly important in outdoor applications, both in urban and industrial environments.
The housing features a dual-compartment design — separating the optical chamber from the gear compartment — allowing safe and convenient placement of LED modules and control electronics. The enclosure is self-cleaning, with a smooth rib-free surface that facilitates maintenance and minimizes the accumulation of dust and contaminants.
The housing offers a high level of protection rated IP66/IP67, mechanical impact resistance IK09/IK10, and reliable operation within a wide temperature range from –40 °C to +50 °C. It can be mounted on poles or brackets with diameters ranging from Ø32 to 76 mm. The enclosure supports top, bottom, or dual configurations, as well as integration with IoT systems, enabling advanced lighting control within smart city and infrastructure applications.
Service access is tool-operated, and the design allows easy replacement of LED modules without soldering. The housing is compatible with various optical distributions — from narrow road optics to wide and symmetrical beams — enabling precise adaptation of the lighting performance to the specific requirements of roads, squares, or tunnels.
Applications
The RAY luminaire is ideal for urban squares, park pathways, outdoor parking areas, and pedestrian walkways. Thanks to a wide range of optical distributions (L, S, ME3, T, P6, C2), the light distribution can be precisely tailored to the function of the space — from narrow roadways and shared pedestrian-cycle paths to wide plazas, parking areas, and zones requiring limited light spill. RAY luminaires ensure high visual comfort, efficient illumination, and glare reduction in public spaces.
