As part of the project, pedestrian crossing lighting was upgraded in the city of Bielsko-Biała. The works included the execution of guided drilling for the installation of transmission infrastructure, the installation of new pole-mounted units, the setup of control cabinets, and the replacement of luminaires with modern LED lights, utilizing asymmetric optical systems to optimize the lighting.

Context & Challenge

The project carried out for the Municipal Roads Authority in Bielsko-Biała focused on increasing pedestrian safety in areas with high traffic intensity. A key challenge was to ensure better visibility of pedestrian crossings at critical points of the road infrastructure, especially after dark and in difficult weather conditions.

Scope & Solution

The scope of the investment included the implementation of a system-based lighting solution for pedestrian crossings on selected road sections. As part of the works, 6-meter composite poles were installed along with modern LED luminaires, as well as the necessary cabling and power connections. The applied solutions were selected to ensure optimal illumination of crossing zones and high visibility for drivers.

Outcome

The project resulted in a significant improvement in the visibility of pedestrian crossings, directly contributing to increased road user safety. Additionally, the investment enhanced the standard and functionality of the urban infrastructure.
